The deaths are a result of an escalation in the conflict between farmers and semi-nomadic herders in Plateau State.
President Muhammadu Buhari warned against reprisal attacks and sent troops to contain the violence.
Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from the capital Abuja.
