Inside Nigeria's Amazing "Pure Water" Factories

In Nigeria water is one of the most important need of a man to survive, but how safe and pure is the so called pure-water we drink?

How clean are the production rooms the packing,how safe is the water we choose to dink each day? Water has now been made into small sachets so everyone can afford to buy one.

Production, consumption and sales of pure-water have increased over time in Nigeria,Lagos especially there are series of brands and makers of pure water everywhere.

Yetude, BattaBox reporter, visited one of the pure-water factories in Lagos and also asked Nigerian why it is called pure water,

“They feel when they call it pure water, people will rush and buy to drink,” said one lady.

Another said: “When they were using ice water, they decided to call sachet water pure so you can differentiate between the two.”

“Its cheap and affordable, because its saves money,” a man said seriously.

“Pure water factories has also helped and contributed to the eradication of poverty in Nigeria,” the factory owner said.

When Yetunde asked him if the water is safe enough for Nigerians consumption is response was”in-short it is very very safe to drink,because everyday we test and taste to make sure it meets with the specification of NAFDAC.
