A rigorous system of “test, track and trace” will allow the government to start re-opening the UK as economic pressure mounts.

Experts warn that in the next three months the economy will “shrink more than ever before”, with signs of a recession already appearing.

Many are anxious for the lockdown to end, while others have criticised the government for its lack of testing earlier on.
