African countries partake in the Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad



Young mathematicians from 13 African countries took part in the annual Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad in Muizenberg outside Cape Town this week. The event, organised by the African Mathematics Union, concluded with a prize giving ceremony for top learners. The overall individual winner went to Tunisia, and Morocco scooped the title of best team. South Africa received medals in both the individual and group rounds of the competition.
