Covid-19 ‘long-haulers’ are people who haven’t necessarily been hospitalised or spent time on a ventilator but are nevertheless struggling to fully recover and experiencing recurring symptoms for weeks – even months – after first falling ill. Joining the discussion with Lucy Hockings: Fiona Lowenstein, founder of the Body Politic COVID-19 Support Group in New York, Professor Paul Garner, infectious disease expert from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine who’s been experiencing Covid symptoms since 19th March and Dr Avindra Nath, Clinical Director the National Institute of Neurological Disorders at the US National Institutes of Health.
