Sreesanth is active in cricket again. The Kerala Cricket Association has announced that Sreesanth will play for the Kerala cricket team this year. KCA secretary Sreejith V Nair said Sreesanth would be recalled to the Kerala team camp if the ban was lifted in September

The KCA secretary said that Sreesanth’s challenge is to prove his fitness.Sreesanth had earlier said that he would be active in cricket again and would do his best to return to the Indian team.

Sreesanth has been banned from playing in the Indian Premier League. Sreesanth was accused of match-fixing while he was active in the Indian team.

Rajasthan Royals players Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila have been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly colluding with betting gangs during the 2013 IPL season. The BCCI then suspended Sreesanth and ordered an inquiry.

The Patiala Sessions Court later acquitted Sreesanth of the charges against him. But the BCCI was not ready to lift the ban against Sreesanth.The BCCI ombudsman ban was later reduced to seven years following the intervention of the Supreme Court. Accordingly, Sreesanth can return to the field from this September.

He hopes to return to the Indian team. Sreesanth says he wants to take 100 wickets in Tests. Sreesanth will return to the Kerala cricket team after the ban expires in September. If the Kerala team can perform well, it will pave the way for the Indian team as well.
