Nigeria to sign agreement of the Africa Continental Free trade Area

Nigeria will sign the agreement for the establishment of the Africa Continental Free trade Area by the end of this month when African Heads of State meet in Mauritania for the African Union Summit, former President Olesugun Obasanjo said on Thursday. Nigeria did not sign the agreement in March and President Muhammadu Buhari set up a committee to study the agreement, following warnings by various stekeholders in Nigeria that the agreement would lead to the dumping of finished goods in the country. Meanwhile, the Africa Export Import Bank (AfreximBank) will in December hold an African Trade Fair in Egypt in December to encourage trade among African countries. Sarah KImani reports from Cairo.
