East African countries now owe creditors over 45 bilion dollars



The level of indebtedness of East African countries has raised concern among development experts, after the total regional debt reached over 45 billion US dollars.

According to finance experts at the African forum and network on debt and development AFRODAD, based in Zimbabwe, Uganda’s debt has crossed 7 billion US dollars, or approximately 26 trillion shillings.
