Assistant Referee Pushes Manager In Ghana Vs Sudan Game – NaijaNoWellNaijaNoWell

Some quite incredible scenes saw an assistant referee push over a manager in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Sudan.

Tempers flared over a decision to not award a penalty for a challenge on Abdel Rahman inside the area in the 36th minute and Sudan boss Hubert Velud was fuming with the call.

He became incredibly animated on the touchline and so the assistant referee felt he had to step in. But instead of diffusing the situation, the linesman only escalated it further by putting his hands on Velud.

The shove led to Velud falling over dramatically in the sort of act you’d expect from Neymar or Luis Suarez, but it still doesn’t excuse the official’s conduct.
