Arsenal have been crowned champions of the 2025/26 Premier League season after Manchester City suffered a costly draw to Bournemouth, ending the Gunners’ 22-year wait for an English top-flight title.
The result at the Vitality Stadium handed Mikel Arteta’s side an unassailable lead at the top of the table, sparking wild celebrations among Arsenal players, officials and supporters across North London.
Arsenal had moved to the brink of the title after their hard-fought 1-0 victory over Burnley on Monday, with Kai Havertz scoring the decisive goal from a Bukayo Saka corner.
That win took the Gunners five points clear of Manchester City, meaning Pep Guardiola’s side needed a victory against Bournemouth to keep the title race alive until the final day.
However, City’s draw on the South Coast confirmed Arsenal as champions before their final fixture of the season against Crystal Palace.
Naija News understands that the Cherries extended their unbeaten streak to 17 league games, a run which has secured European football for the first time in the club’s history.
The triumph is Arsenal’s first Premier League title since the famous 2003/04 Invincibles season under Arsene Wenger, when the club went through the entire league campaign unbeaten.
