Former Nigerian international Garba Lawal has advised the players from the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) to utilize the opportunity of being part of the Super Eagles for the forthcoming Unity Cup.
Recall that Eagles handler Eric Chelle invited seven NPFL players that include Michael Atata, Obinna Igboke, Chibueze Oputa, Elias Ochobi, Aderemi Adeoye, Ayobami Junior, and Tosin Oyedokun.
Speaking with Brila FM, Lawal urged the players not to mess up the chance to prove their worth in the senior national team.
NPFL Have Another Chance To Impress In Eagles
“This opportunity is another second chance for the NPFL players. He has gone round and he has picked some of the best players in the league.

“I just want to appeal to them that this is their chance and they should not complain to me again. If they go there and mess up, I am a fan of them, and I was highly disappointed with the last performance they displayed at CHAN.
“After this, I won’t talk about the home-based Eagles again because we have been talking about the coach picking domestic league players, and he has done that now. This is their best chance to showcase their talents.”
Eagles To Defend Their Crown

The Super Eagles will defend their Unity Cup crown in a four-nation tournament alongside Zimbabwe, India and last year’s finalist, Jamaica, from May 26 to 31 in Charlton.
Nigeria will begin its title defence on Tuesday, May 26, against the Warriors of Zimbabwe. The winner of that fixture will progress to the final to face either Jamaica or India.
