Poppy covers Alanis Morissette’s “Hand in My Pocket”



Poppy has released a cover of “Hand in My Pocket” by Alanis Morissette for the Mile End Kicks soundtrack, a coming-of-age movie about a music journalist (Barbie Ferreira) moving to Montreal to work on a book inspired by Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill.

The moody take on the song, like Avril Lavigne’s cover of “Ironic” for the soundtrack, stays true to the original with a grounded interpretation of the ’90s anthem.
