Steve Lacy has released his new single, “the feeling,” which will be featured on his third album, Oh yeah?, out July 17 via RCA Records. The record, which Lacy wrote and produced himself, follows 2022’s Gemini Rights and represents his “most personal art to date.”
With “the feeling,” Lacy explores uncertainty and longing after a complicated romantic relationship, repeatedly asking, “Am I your baby?” to mirror the all-consuming doubt for reassurance that drives the song.

Coinciding with today’s release is Lacy’s work on the title track for Malcolm Todd’s new album, Do That Again. Following the release of Oh yeah?, Lacy will play at two festivals in August — Summer Sonic in Japan and LALALA Fest in Indonesia.
