Tame Impala, Palaye Royale, Nita Strauss, and more have been announced as part of Sending Hearts To All My Dearies, a tribute album for the Smashing Pumpkins, out digitally on Aug. 14 via Sumerian Records.
Sending Hearts To All My Dearies, titled by frontman Billy Corgan, is taken from “Mayonaise” on the band’s 1993 album, Siamese Dream. The collection includes reimagined takes on the Smashing Pumpkins’ hits, including Tame Impala’s version of “Hummer.” “Siamese Dream was the soundtrack to my high school years,” Kevin Parker says. “‘Hummer’ is the song that takes me back there in the most potent way.”
