McDonald’s confirms it’s AXING ‘banging’ £3.69 menu item next week

MCDONALDS is set to axe a “banging” £3.69 menu item next week, but will be bringing back a fan favourite just one day later.

The item is launching in time for the return of the warmer weather.

McDonald’s is set to axe the “banging” Vanilla Matcha Frappe next week after launching the new menu item last month

However, the fast-food chain will be bringing back the fan favourite Green Apple x Sprite drink

Last month, McDonald’s released a trendy new drink inspired by the viral obsession with a certain type of tea.

The Vanilla Matcha Frappé featured a combination of matcha green tea flavouring with sweet vanilla, blended together with ice and cream for the “ultimate summer sip”.

Described as the “drink of the summer”, frappé fans could pick up the medium-sized sweet treat for just £3.69.

However, it’s sad news for the matcha-obsessed generation, as the popular drink is set to disappear from the menu on July 13.

LOVIN’ IT

McDonald’s is selling £2.99 Happy Meals this summer – and there’s no catch

Instead, McDonald’s is swapping one green drink for another in its next menu shake-up on July 14.

Just in time for the warmer weather set to hit the UK, the fast-food chain is bringing back a “fan favourite” iced drink.

The Green Apple x Sprite Zero is back by popular demand and will deliver a “cool, crisp and refreshing pick-me-up all season long”.

The drink combines the crisp taste of Sprite Zero with sugar-free apple flavour syrup, giving it a distinct green colour.

Served over ice, this refreshing drink gives you “the perfect way to cool down and refresh throughout the day”.

The beloved beverage was last available in 2023, but is now making its return to stores across the UK and Ireland and can be purchased for £2.29.

There are also a number of other refreshingly cool drinks to pick up throughout the summer season.

Also available is the brand new Strawberry Candyfloss Frappé, a blend of strawberry flavour with sweet candyfloss notes, topped with cream and glistening sprinkles, for the ultimate playful treat.

While the Pineapple x Sprite Zero is set to leave stores soon, fans of the Raspberry x Sprite Zero will be pleased to know the drink will be around a little longer.

Bask in the sunshine with the Frozen Cherry Lemonade, the ideal combination of “tangy” and “chilly”, although shoppers are urged to treat themselves to the drink sooner rather than later.

It’s set to be replaced by the Strawberry Frozen Lemonade later this August.

Chocolate lovers can still pick up the Chocolate Honeycomb Frappé, a rich sweet treat topped with cream and crunchy honeycomb pieces.
