Connections forked out 100,000 euros at the breeze-up sales to buy this speedy juvenile who paid back a slice of that fee when winning well on debut at Ffos Las 22 days ago. He tanked along and was put in front a few yards from the post for a cosy success. He needed every yard of the six-furlong trip to hit top gear and he stays over that distance with plenty more to come. Trainer William Knight is in excellent form and can add to his tally here.
TOPAZ (7.21 Salisbury, nb)
She went close when second on debut at Newmarket before a fair effort in the Albany at Royal Ascot. She was dropped to a more suitable level at Newbury last time and was just denied. She looks suited to this distance and quick ground is no problem. She can get off the mark here.
CHARENCEY (2.45 Nottingham, treble)
Has come right down the weights and has been found a great chance for a win by trainer Ian Williams. The first-time visor can help and he should be right at home over this distance.
