Today I am going to talk about a lesser known but very important visa, to my knowledge its not been covered in any videos and seems to have slipped under the radar, I am bringing this video to you with the help and assistance of Immigration Rights Solicitors Limited, IRS ltd who are based in Birmingham.
It so to IRS solicitors that I owe the idea of a video, which is that of the UK Innovator Visa.

What is the Innovator visa?
Well its for those who are experienced businesspeople who are looking to bring their business to the UK.
Who is the innovator visa suitable for?
This visa category is suitable for experienced businesspeople. However, the business idea must be innovative and viable. The business should not already exist, however, where it does, the new business must not be trading.
One big advantage is that if you get the visa you are permitted to work on your own or as part of an entrepreneurial team.
Sounds good to me, how can I get this visa?
To be granted leave an innovator visa, an applicant must provide an endorsement letter and if applicable demonstrate that they have either invested or have available to invest £50,000 in their business.
If you are seriously interested in getting such a visa it is going to require the use of an expert immigration lawyer, IRS solicitors are more than willing and able to help with all stages of the application if you do not have a lawyer. However, I would caution that this is a new and exciting route to getting into the United Kingdom and needs lawyers.
As usual with the Home Office there are various specific documents that are required.
Firstly if your business idea is approved by the endorsing body they will issue you with confirmation that your business idea and plan have been checked and approved by them
The confirmation from the endorsing body must provide all of the following information:
The name of the endorsing body
The endorsement reference number
The date of issue
The applicant’s name and date of birth
Money?
All Applicant’s applying for an investor visa with a new business endorsement must demonstrate that they have either invested or have available at least £50,000 to invest in their new business.
The amount of money is not that high.
To do this it must be demonstrated that your business idea is
a new idea
viable with a potential of growth
So I have the visa – What can I do and not do
You can:
set up a business or several businesses
work for your business – this includes being employed as a director, or self-employed as a member of a business partnership
bring family members with you
You cannot:
do any work outside your business.
When can I apply?
You can apply 3 months before your intended travel date.
You usually get a decision on your visa application within 3 weeks.
How much is this going to cost me in UK Visa application fees
Per applicant: £1021
Per dependant: £1021
You must also Immigration Healthcare Surcharge
How long is the visa?
You will be allowed to remain in the UK for 3 years.
You will be able to apply for settlement (indefinite leave to remain) once you have been in the UK for 3 years.
In short this is a new and under used method of getting a visa to come and live in the UK and bring your family.
