Olusoji Fasuba – Lack of honest and transparent leadership the bane of Nigeria Athletics



The current African 100m record-holder (9.85s) and 2008 World Athletics Indoor 60m champion, Olusoji Adetokunbo Fasuba, says the lack of visionary, honest and transparent leadership is the death knell of athletics in Nigeria.

Fasuba bemoans the lack of support and ill-treatment of athletes, the constant in-fighting among administrators and officials, and also reiterates the need to merge the sport and entertainment industry in Nigeria to increase investments into the sports sector.
