Despite the lifting of the ban on liquor sales, Wines of South Africa says the current outlook for the industry is very bleak. A number of producers are set to close their doors in the coming months, putting thousands of jobs at risk.
Part of both the agriculture and tourism sector, the industry employs over 300-thousand people.
