Hells Angels busted on island off African coast

BREAKING NEWS — One thing you got to say for the Hells Angels is they show up in a lot of unusual places around the world. Including these tropical islands off the coast of North Africa. The Mob Reporter here with news of these Angels in paradise.
The chapter was formed in 2009, according to the Hells Angels. Their island peace was just crashed by a SWAT team this week in raids and arrests in Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, off the coast of Western Sahara and Morocco. Despite its African location, it is a Spanish island and it was the Spanish National Police who came knocking at six properties, including in the top tourist area. Here you see probationary members under arrest. You can tell from the incomplete set of Hells Angels patches on their back. These are the colors of a full-patch member, who was presumably among the six men arrested. Then there was a lot of support gear, although, this looks like colors of a formal support club, called the Red & White Family.
Two of those arrested, police said, were wanted in other countries, including one in France and another accused of being a member of the so-called Pink Panthers, a robbery gang that pulled choreographed, high-end and high-value smash and grabs around the world. They are sort of famous in the underworld. Those arrested were citizens of several countries: Germany, Poland, France, Serbia and Spain. Police said the raids dismantled the Hells Angels Canary Islands chapter. But they usually say that after a big raid. The Canary Islands would be a great place to visit. Maybe I should go cover their trial.
