Natural disasters are causing chaos across Africa. In Sierra Leone, the death toll from the recent mudslides near the capital, Freetown, has reportedly hit a-thousand. There have also been landslides in Uganda. At least one person has been killed and nine others are still missing. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, a mine has collapsed in the southern city of Kolwezi. Authorities say at least 200 people are dead. And in Niger, torrential rains have swept across the capital, Niamey. The government says at least 44 people have been killed since June.
