Government have established a Society for the administration of the Backward Classes Welfare Residential Schools in the combined State of Andhra Pradesh during the academic year 2012-13. BC Welfare (B) Department, dated 14-07-2014 with an aim to provide quality education to the children belonging to Backward Classes and other communities.
At Present 22 BC Residential Schools, 3 BC Residential Junior Colleges and 1 BC Residential Degree College for Women are functioning under the control of the Society.
