BORIS Johnson today announced tough new restrictions to combat the coronavirus second wave.
The PM told Brits to work from home “if possible”, announced a 10pm curfew for pubs and restaurants and restricted the catering industry to table service only..
The number of people able to attend a wedding was reduced to 15 and plans to allow spectators to attend sporting events have been postponed.
The Prime Minister says he envisages the restrictions being in place for at least six months until the end of winter.
Boris will follow his Commons statement with an address to the nation at 8pm this evening.
