Asteroids have been making the news recently. Many near earth objects have been detected by NASA. They’ve recently said that one of the largest asteroid they’ve detected is moving towards our planet.
Worryingly they’ve said that if it ends up on a collision course with our planet, then the effects would be massive, similar to that of the giant asteroid that struck our planet 66 million years ago, and triggered the extinction of 70% of land animals. This is the asteroid that is responsible for wiping out the dinosaurs.
