Proteas Netball assistant coach, Dumisani Chauke says the hosting of the 2023 Netball World Cup in South Africa is an opportunity to upskill and empower up and upcoming coaches and umpires.
She was speaking at an accredited workshop in Germiston, east of Johannesburg, that was hosted by the Ekurhuleni Netball Association.
40 participants, mostly young aspiring coaches and umpires took part in the workshop.
Chauke who is also the coach of the Gauteng-based Golden Fireballs which will be taking part in the Telkom Netball League next week in Mangaung hopes the participants would have acquired enough knowledge to impart to their most disadvantaged communities.
