Mobile solution to support ICT and Education in Africa ( i-Connect Project )

The Nigerian education sector has deteriorated rapidly over the last two decades. Many have blamed the lack of monetary investment and ill-equipped and unqualified teaching staff, but these are just a few issues adding to an already confound problem.

ICT is one area that many are focusing on to help alleviate these problems, but the use of ICT in itself presents new problems, which many developing countries are finding hard to overcome.

Our mobile ICT suite solution is just one of many initiative to help support this current situation.

The i-Connect Mobile Broadband ICT Units are truck heads attached to renovated containers, which contains 40-50 networked computers, power supply and dedicated ICT teacher / technician. These vehicles can move from one school location to another on a daily basis and be scheduled into the school timetable. This will enable the sharing of computer facilities amongst many schools, thus reducing costs but also reaching a wider geographical population, compared to stationary solutions.
