UK: Fashionistas flock to London as fashion week kicks off

Models, photographers and tourists flocked to Trafalgar Square as Fashion Week kicked off in London on Monday.

With over 60 catwalk shows on the official schedule as well as further 45 show off schedule and more than 30 on-schedule presentations and salon shows, LFW remains one of the highest profile fashion events in the world and one of the ‘big four’ international fashion weeks.

There will be over 57 models flying in to London specially for the event, over 30,000 espressos served by sponsor Lavazza and more than 5,000 visitors.

It is estimated that orders worth more than £100m are placed during LFW each season.
