Videos can use content-based copyright law contains reasonable use Fair Use ( PHONES4U billionaire John Caudwell has shown off Britain’s most expensive home worth £250million after he merged two mansions together.  The 67-year-old, who sold his Phones4U empire for £1.5billion in 2006, created the 15-bedroom home by joining two Mayfair houses into one 43,000 sq ft property.  Showing off his home on Channel 4 documentary, Britain’s Most Expensive Home: Building for a Billionaire, John said: “It’s really beautiful, isn’t it – it sort of takes your breath away.”  The dad-of-five worked closely with builders and designers to create his dream home, adding: “My nature is to micro manage everything.”  John plans to entertain guests with a swimming pool, gym, salon, media room and games room, while storing their cars in a hidden car-lift and stacking parking system.  He’ll also have a ballroom that can hold 200 people so he can host galas in aid of good causes.  The new property also features private quarters at the front for a family of three.  John, whose partner is Modesta Vzesniauskaite, an ex Olympic cyclist from Lithuania, started renovating the two Grade-II listed mansions in 2015. He hopes he can move into the new pad by October this year.  The renovations were meant to be done by Christmas 2018 and have already gone £55million over budget  John, from Stoke-on-Trent, is said to pay the most income tax in Britain – paying out more than £200million over five years.  After dropping out of school to work in a tyre factory, John set up his own phone company.  The billionaire also owns Broughton Hall, a £12million Jacobean manor house in Eccleshall near Stoke.  We pay for your stories!
