The President of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari took to his twitter page to notify the public that over 1 million applications have been received for the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund ever since the portal went live in October 12, 2020.
The portal is still open for registration and the fund is opened to Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 and 35; Individuals with Registered or Non-registered business can also apply. Whilst individuals and non-registered business can access for up to N250,000 credit facility, registered businesses, SMEs (Business Name / Limited Liability / Cooperative Societies/ Commodities Associations) can access up to N3 million.
