Coronavirus UK news – Christmas boost as four households could be allowed to meet up for five days of ‘freedom’

FOUR households could be allowed to meet up at Christmas for up to five days of “freedom”.

The move would allow relatives to spend days over the festive period together and wouldn’t have to choose between grandparents.

But Public Health England officials warned that every day of easing would demand “five days of tighter restrictions” at a later date.

This could mean that in the New Year 25 days of lockdown would be imposed.
