Paris Saint-Germain are through to the UEFA Champions League final after a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich sealed a 6-4 aggregate win and booked a showdown with Arsenal in Budapest.
The holders struck early in Bavaria and never looked back. Just three minutes in, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia burst clear to meet a defence-splitting pass from Fabián Ruiz before squaring for Ousmane Dembélé, who rifled a first-time finish into the roof of the net to silence the home crowd.
Wingers Luis Díaz and Michael Olise both fired over as the hosts chased the game, while coach Vincent Kompany fumed after a penalty appeal was waved away when Vitinha’s clearance struck João Neves in the box.
Bayern continued to press but met resistance from goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, who denied Jamal Musiala late in the first half. At the other end, Manuel Neuer kept Bayern alive with fine saves from Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué as PSG shifted into a disciplined defensive shape after the break.
Harry Kane blasted in a stoppage-time equaliser to register his 14th goal of the campaign, but it proved little more than consolation. Bayern’s wait for a 12th European Cup final goes on, extending a run of six failed semi-final attempts.
PSG now stand one win away from retaining the UEFA Champions League crown. Coach Luis Enrique, who previously lifted the trophy with FC Barcelona, will take charge of his third final as coach when the Parisians meet Arsenal on May 30, 2026.
