COPS are hunting a mum and daughter accused of ripping a clump of a woman’s hair out during a brawl in the ladies’ loos at the Cheltenham Racecourse.
The pair allegedly attacked a woman in her 20s during the wild fracas on the Thursday of the famous racing festival – March 12.
The police appeal comes after The Sun exclusively published footage of the toilet scrap the day after the incident.
A one minute long video captured the chaotic scenes in the toilets behind the famous Guinness Village stage.
It shows a woman appearing to rain punches down on the victim’s head.
She can be heard shouting “Get your f* ginger ****”, as a horrified onlooker gasps: “Oh my god.”
Cops said the victim had a clump of hair ripped out.
The force added that she was repeatedly hit during the bust-up in the women’s toilets at the Evesham Road venue at around 1.10pm.
After the incident, the two women were escorted out of the racecourse by security guards.
Investigators say they have carried out a number of enquiries but have been unable to identify the pair.
Officers are now appealing for help from the public.
They want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may recognise the women from police images.
Cops describe one of the women as being in her 50s with long straight blonde hair just below shoulder length.
She was wearing a black and white tweed cape-style coat, a black top, black tights and black knee-length boots.
The second woman is described as being in her 20s with long curly blonde hair.
She was wearing a fluffy brown coat and knee-high heeled boots.
The force says the two women they are hunting are “believed to be mother and daughter”.
A police spokesperson added: “It is recognised that the images are not the clearest, but anyone who knows who the woman are is asked to submit information online by completing the following form quoting occurrence 53260012005: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/.”
