AC Milan star Rafael Leão has confirmed that his time at the club has come to an end.
After a seven-year stint at the San Siro, the Portuguese forward in a chat with Sport TV stated he feels ready for a new chapter in his career.
“Personally, I’ve given everything I had at AC Milan. It was a club that helped me grow a lot, supported me in tough times. Fortunately, I managed to make my mark in its history.

“Everyone has challenges they aspire to, and I aspire to a new challenge in a new league. If that happens, I’ll be very happy and fulfilled because I did my job at AC Milan,” he began.
Asked whether his preferred destination would be England, Spain or Saudi Arabia, the Rossoneri star chose to focus on the 2026 World Cup.
“The most important thing now is the World Cup and helping the national team in any way I can. When that moment comes, I’ll study the best options to continue my career and keep competing at the top of European football,” he said.

Arriving from Lille in 2019, Leão quickly became one of the club’s most important players. He served as a massive catalyst for AC Milan’s 2021/22 Serie A title win, a season in which he was crowned the league’s MVP.
