PDP Candidate Wins Polling Unit In Ekiti Gov Election

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Saturday’s Ekiti State governorship election, Wole Oluyede, has won his polling unit at Osagburu Hall/Oke Oloti in Ikere, Ekiti State.

Naija News reports that Oluyede polled 113 votes to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 84 votes.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) recorded two votes, while the Social Democratic Party (SDP) got one vote.

After the votes were counted, dozens of residents who had waited at the polling unit trooped out to celebrate the result with singing and dancing.

There were 201 accredited voters at the polling unit.

As of the time of filing this report, electoral officials were recording the result on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) official result sheet.
