MEXICAN journalists are planning to sabotage England’s World Cup preparations by LEAKING their secret hotel location in Mexico City.
England face Mexico at the iconic Azteca Stadium at 1am BST on Monday – but are trying to keep their team hotel under wraps to avoid fan disruption.
Ecuador made a complaint to World Cup organisers over noisy fans outside their hotel before their last-32 match against co-hosts Mexico on Wednesday.
Local media reported that around 1,000 supporters staged a boisterous ‘serenade’ the night before Mexico’s 2-0 win over their South American neighbours.
Mexican fans let off fireworks, banged drums, honked car horns and sang folk songs before police moved them back.
Mexican reporters plan to reveal England‘s hotel location, clearing the way for fans to recreate the chaos.
The Three Lions have been kept under lock and key to avoid disruption and hopefully get a peaceful night sleep.
England’s kit bag will have ear-plugs and eye-masks to help them drift off and it will be the same this time.
Having pesky fans create a ruckus outside the hotel before a key game is nothing unusual for top-level players, with it being a regular obstacle for those who play in Europe.
Thomas Tuchel‘s side fly out of their Kansas City base on Friday and have 48 hours to prepare for the high altitude levels.

The Azteca Stadium is located around 2,240 meters above sea level meaning the conditions will be difficult.
Opponents Mexico have played all of their matches so far on home soil, and the squad is clearly used to coping with the conditions – they have played 14 games at the Azteca so far in the 2020s, scoring 23 goals and conceding only four.
It will be England’s first game at the stadium since their controversial quarter-final defeat by Argentina at the 1986 World Cup.
