OGC Nice Chief Gives Fresh Update On Moffi’s Future

OGC Nice sporting director Roger Ricort has confirmed that Terem Moffi is expected to leave the Ligue 1 club on a permanent transfer this summer, Completesports.com reports.

Moffi spent the second half of last season on loan at Portuguese champions FC Porto after falling out of favour at Nice.

The Nigeria international sought a move away from the club following an incident last November when he and teammate Jeremie Boga were confronted by angry supporters after a defeat to Lorient.

Boga subsequently secured a loan move to Serie A giants Juventus in January, with the Italian club later making the transfer permanent.

Porto, however, decided against activating the €8 million purchase option in Moffi’s loan agreement, prompting the striker’s return to Nice.

Despite uncertainty over his future, the 27-year-old resumed pre-season training with the club on Wednesday.
