PETE Wicks has opened up about hard launching his romance with Olivia Attwood – and his fear over the pair going public.
The reality TV stars – whose relationship is set to beat the friends-to-lovers curse – went Instagram official in their Ibiza holiday snaps earlier this month.
The couple have been trying to keep their relationship under wraps for months, but have still been pictured kissing, cuddling and on romantic dates.
Now TOWIE alum Pete, 37, has talked of the “hard launch experience” on his Staying Relevant podcast with BFF Sam Thompson.
Sam asked how going official had been and Pete, after a swig of Red Bull, admitted there had been a thought process and said: “Er yeah, the thought process was what would Liv like?”
He added: “We’d spoken about it and I thought ‘ah f**k it’ you know let’s go and do it.
“Obviously the first photo had to be of me and Liv, and all I really cared about was I didn’t embarrass her”.
Sam reassured him and said: “I don’t think you did”.
Talking of the nuances of the upload, which came with the caption: “I guess someone has to go first…IBIZA” followed by a black heart emoji, Pete added Instagram had suggested the accompanying music.
He then said: “Just simple.
“Just there we go, now it’s out it’s fine, we’re good”.
Sam added: “Pete’s got a girlfriend, my boy has got a girlfirend!”
Liv, 37, and Pete – who host a KISS FM radio show together – began dating back in February, following Olivia’s split from husband Bradley Dack.
Pete recently flew out to visit Olivia in Ibiza as she filmed a new series of her show, Bad Boyfriends, and promptly has shared snaps of them together for the first time.
The first black and white snap saw them lying together on a yacht while sailing across the water, and another showed Olivia lying in Pete’s lap as he kissed the top of her head.
