BRITS have enjoyed another sunny September day today, with temperatures reaching 23C.
But as many people went to the beach to enjoy the warm weather, some were seen flouting the latest rule of six – which was introduced by the government to curb the spread of coronavirus.

September has been the warmest since 2016 and follows an August heatwave when temperatures topped 34C for six days running.
Beaches and parks around the country looked busy today as people went out to enjoy the sunshine.
The Met Office said there was “barely a cloud in the sky” today as the UK experienced another day of warm and sunny weather.
It said in a Twitter message: “Barely a cloud in the sky this afternoon across much of the UK.
BLAST OF SUMMER
“Cloud slowly clearing in Northern Ireland, but grey skies lingering in the far north of Scotland.”
Yesterday the mercury hit 29C, while on Tuesday the UK experienced highs of 30C.
The warmer weather is due to a combination of tropical air pushing up from the south and light winds, the Met Office said.
Forecaster Bonnie Diamond added: “It definitely feels like one last blast of summer even though we are, meteorologically speaking, in autumn.”

The Met Office’s weather forecast for tonight says: “Most areas dry with long clear periods or clear skies.
“Cloudier in the far north and a few fog patches later over parts Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern and central England and Wales. Quite chilly and windy in the far south.”
Thousands of people visited the seafront at Bournemouth to bask in the sun, while further down the coast, in Swanage, Dorset, surfers have taken to the water this week.
Many Essex locals flocked to Leigh on Sea to sunbathe, while others flocked to Brighton beach to enjoy a beer with their friends.

Some people were pictured in groups of more of six, apparently breaking the latest law introduced by the government to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Under the so-called rule of six, which came into place on Monday, it is illegal to meet in groups of more than six.
There are some exemptions to the guidelines, including those from large families and support bubbles, as well as weddings, funerals and organised team sports in a Covid-secure way.
Home Secretary Priti Patel warned even chatting to someone on the street would break the rules.

She said any “mingling” with a group of more than six would risk those people being slapped with a £100 fine.
But some people seemed happy to risk it for the chance to make the most of the day with loved ones.
Temperatures are expected to remain stable on Friday, with plenty of sunshine in most parts of the UK.
England and Wales are expected to be windy, with gusty winds in the far south.
However, an arctic blast is set to torpedo the UK’s heatwave from next week as a cold front is predicted to move in from the North Sea.

The weekend will start feeling cooler, particularly in the North, where there will be spells of rain.
Scattered heavy showers are also forecast in the south of England on Saturday, the Met Office said.
The weather is expected to turn wet and windy in the northwest later on Monday.
