Group Calls for State of Emergency in Nigeria’s Education Sector



The Connected Development group has called for a state of emergency in the educational sector.

The non-governmental organization while signing a memorandum of understanding with FLEXISAF Foundation to identify and verify the number of out-of-school children in selected northern states in Nigeria wants urgent action taken to reduce the scourge.

The executive director of The Connected Development Hamzat Lawal revealed that the MoU will not only help in improving government and stakeholders’ participation in basic education but also help in reducing the percentage of out-of-school children nationwide.
