Nigeria v Ethiopia – Nigeria boss looks ahead to Ethiopia clash

Nigeria prepared to play Ethiopia on Friday (15th November), ahead of Saturday’s CAF World Cup play-off second leg in Calabar, Nigeria, where they will take a 2-1 lead.

“We’ve done so well from the beginning of these qualifiers up until now. Having gone through so many matches and trips and all those stuff. So, it’s huge and also playing at home (so) we pray that everything goes well tomorrow for us.”

“We went to Ethiopia and we saw a better side – good football from the Ethiopians and if we (Players) want to relax at home, i think its going to be a different ball game. But I mean we’re playing in front of our fans, with their support, I think we will come out victorious in this game.”

Dare ‘Darey’ Alade, singer:
“Getting the two goals at the Addis Ababa was very important, although we had clearly for the first 60 minutes we had issues just running at pace with them. They outpaced us they outplayed us but we got the result you know. This is home turf the tables should turn. I just hope that we can contain them.”
