Aviation This Week: Running Airline Business In Nigeria 16/09/15 Pt 1



This week we are talking airlines, it is no longer news that most domestic operators face a hard time of running a business that is dollar dependent in a Naira denominated economy.
Other issues include the cost of aviation fuel to double digit interest rate on loans, and lack of maintenance facilities in Nigeria.
Airlines cannot exist without the right policies because policies drive growth, that is the submission of the Chairman of the Airline Operators of Nigeria, Captain Noggie Meggison.

He also shared his thoughts on the availability of Jet A1 and of course the issue of a new national carrier being touted by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Fighting low level corruption in the aviation industry was also considered In this edition.
