S.African President Ramaphosa calls for greater African representation on UN Security Council


Speaking via videolink at the United Nations General Assembly, President of South Africa and Chairperson of the African Union Cyril Ramaphosa urges “greater representation of African countries on the Security Council” as a means to “collectively resolve some of the world’s most protracted conflicts.” He also calls for a “comprehensive stimulus package for African countries”, as many of the continent’s countries struggle after reallocating resources to fight Covid-19.
