Coronavirus: UK schools to close indefinitely, says Boris Johnson

The prime minister has announced schools will shut at the end of Friday for an indefinite period, in an effort to slow the spread of Covid-19. He said summer exams would not take place but the government would make sure pupils get the qualifications they need
