How News UK became the first media company, and one of the first 30 companies in the world, to be awarded the Carbon Trust Standard for carbon, water and waste reduction.
News UK was awarded The Carbon Trust Standard in 2014 for reducing its carbon footprint by 20 per cent since 2012. In addition to this News UK’s Broxbourne print site, based in Hertfordshire, reduced waste to landfill for non-production (non-paper) waste by 75 per cent; and the Eurocentral print site in Glasgow reduced its water consumption by 44 per cent.
