Katie Price slams ‘disgusting’ cop who used son Harvey’s name as slur for recruits as she is sacked from the force

KATIE Price has welcomed the sacking of a cop who referred to trainee recruits as “Harveys” — saying using her disabled son as a slur was “disgusting”.

The former glamour model spoke out after Sergeant Natalie Dolan was dismissed from Greater Manchester Police on Thursday following a misconduct hearing.

Katie told The Sun tonight: “This is not only discriminatory against anyone with a disability or complex needs but, speaking as a mother, it’s disgusting how hurtful and upset it’s made me.

“It has caused anxiety and stress. Constantly I feel I have to protect my children from trolls, and especially Harvey as he’s an easy target because he can’t answer back.”

Harvey, 23, has Prader-Willi syndrome, autism and he is partially-sighted.

The disciplinary panel was told Sgt Dolan, who was involved in training, sent messages to a colleague which implied some police recruits were unable to read and called them Harveys.

The WhatsApp message was sent in August 2021 and read: “And then you have all the Harveys who need to be read to.”

Sgt Dolan, 48, was also accused of sending other inappropriate messages.

She was sacked after the misconduct hearing panel concluded she had breached the expectation of GMP officers to act with integrity.

The hearing’s report stated: “PS Dolan acted in a way that was a serious departure from expected ethical standards.”

Sgt Dolan, who had 25 years’ service and was previously of good character, was found guilty of gross misconduct and dismissed with immediate effect.

GMP’s Det Supt Dave Jones said: “The behaviour identified in this case was wholly unaccept-able. There is no place in our organisation for behaviour that discriminates on the grounds of any characteristic.”

Eight serving and former Metropolitan Police officers were found guilty of gross misconduct in 2023 over offensive messages shared in a WhatsApp group — including some which also made fun of Harvey.

Earlier this month, mum-of-five Katie, 47, labelled comedian Dapper Laughs a “disgusting human being” on social media for making Harvey the butt of his jokes during a live show.
