MAFS Australia star Domenica Calarco has revealed that she ‘cried for two days’ amidst a bitter co-parenting battle with her ex-boyfriend.
The reality star, who shares a daughter with her ex Jarod Bogunovich, has been a solo parent since her birth but shared she has ‘struggled’ through the process.
Domenica, famed for her on-screen relationship with Jack Millar in 2022 on MAFS, put out a candid and emotional video to fans.
Taking to TikTok, the TV star who sat with her daughter Dove, opened up about the struggles and challenges of co-parenting.
She began: “This one’s a really honest and raw chat to all of the single mommas out there. Just have a few questions for you all. I don’t know how to co-parent. I don’t know how to do it.”
“Everything I do is wrong. Nothing I do is good enough. I’m never considerate enough, apparently.
“I just, I can’t do anything right. And I’m finding it really hard because her dad is going to be in my life. Like, he’s going to be in my life. And this is just something that I have to get used to, right?”
She went on to reveal how the situation has affected her emotionally, she continued: “Because I can’t control the way that he treats me, unfortunately. I can only control my reactions and, I guess how it affects me. Although I’m at this point now where I’m really finding it hard to emotionally regulate. And I just don’t know how to do it.
“So I’m just asking for some advice. Because I’m really, really struggling. And I’ll be completely honest, I’ve cried for the past two days.
“I don’t know how I even got out of the house today.”
She then put out a plea to fellow solo-parents, she said: “But it’s just, I need advice. This isn’t a sob story for people to feel sorry for me. This isn’t a video to bash him at all. I just genuinely am asking for some advice because I don’t know how to do it.
“I don’t know how to do this. I don’t have anyone around me that co-parents in my family or my friends. And I don’t know what to do.
“I ask Chat GPT as much as I can. And I vent to my mum. I vent to myself in the mirror. I’m drowning. I’m drowning in emotions that I can’t control. And I just don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t know who to be. I’m already struggling as it is postpartum.
Domenica then began to tear up as her young daughter proceeded to say the words “Mama”.
“You know, finding who you are and being this new person as a mum. And then she goes and does stuff like that. Which makes it all worth it. But yeah, I’m just struggling,” she added.
“To all the other single mums out there that follow me and always DM me. You’re not alone. You’re really not alone. Because girls, I’m struggling,” she admitted ending out the video.
Domenica met her ex-boyfriend Jarod following her TV appearance but it was revealed the couple had split before the birth of their daughter.
Fans speculated that the pair had gone their separate ways after she announced her baby news – which Domenica later confirmed.
In a statement shared to her Instagram, the reality star penned to fans: “I am incredibly excited about this next chapter in my life and feel truly empowered by my decision to step into motherhood on my own terms.
“While I will be welcoming this baby as a solo parent, I am grateful to have the support of the father in a co-parenting capacity.”
She went on to say how she would embrace her next chapter ‘wholeheartedly’ and wanted to support ‘others who choose to embark on parenthood alone’.
