Ceremony announce Tell Me Your Dream, first album in 7 years

Ceremony have announced their seventh studio album, Tell Me Your Dream, out Aug. 7 via Relapse. The 10-song LP reflects on the roots that helped shape members of Ceremony politically in their youth and represents the band’s 21-year journey.

“Tell me your dream in a time when intimacy and vulnerability seem neglected,” vocalist Ross Farrar says. “Tell me your dream when reciprocity has become a contract. Tell me your dream when they ask, ‘What do you do?’ Something untrained by the mind that sparks inspiration.”

On Tell Me Your Dream, Ceremony reunites with producer John Reis, who worked on 2015’s The L-Shaped Man. “John joined the band on this one,” guitarist-keyboardist Anzaldo says. “We could not respect him more as a guitarist, as a singer, as a songwriter. He understands what it’s like to be in every position, so we really gave him the keys.”

Included on the album is “Death Destruction Mayhem,” the second single following “Other Hells.” Their North American tour will begin in Montreal, QC, on Sept. 9 before wrapping up in Los Angeles in November.
