Timo Werner has made an instant impact by earning a penalty at Brighton.

Jorginho pounced on a wayward pass from Seagulls defender Steven Alzate and played the German through on goal before he was upended by Matt Ryan.

The Brazilian-Italian then stepped up to give Frank Lampard’s men the lead with one of his trademark side-footed penalties.
