Amnesty now – Boris, please no more U-turns about an Amnesty then now abolishing the ECHR.
Shocking news – Boris Johnson is making noises about curtailing the ECHR so as to make it easier to remove people from the United Kingdom.
What is really shocking is this is the same man who has preached the need for an amnesty for about 10 years before becoming PM.
Has he no shame? I am sure there are quire a few people who would probably say know, but not knowing him personally I cant comment,
Not content with breaking up his “oven ready” treaty only weeks after winning the election in breach of international law – which begs the question was this plan all along – get people to vote for his great deal knowing he would dismantle it when in power. After all he is known for changing his mind among other things on a regular basis…
What we need now is an amnesty for all those people who have helped get the UK through the coronavirus pandemic, in Italy they have granted those migrants that kept working with permission to stay.
Yet here in the UK, where we typically look down on Europe we are planning on damaging the ECHR – the biggest joke being on Boris himself who seems to see himself as a modern day Churchill –
Save for the fact that it was Churchill that laid the foundations of what became the ECHR and a peaceful Europe.
Matters are made worse by his handmaiden Priti Patel who has refused to commence bringing in refugees from war torn ccuntries since the start of the pandemic, I am talking about children and the most vulnerable, other EU countries have resumed bringing over people to safety – which is the only legal way they can come. She stops the legal method yet condemns people who have to risk their lives travelling the channel in rubber boats. Sounds fair to me, eh?
No instead she wants the royal navy to go and turn back migrants in need, has she not forgotten her history, it was the royal navy that suppressed the slave trade between africa and arabia saving thousands of lives at the cost of thousands of sailors.
In fact all she has managed to do is spend around £1,000,000 removing people over June and July – it seems strange to me that its safe to remove people but not bring them him for safety – or perhaps that is a recognition of how dangerous the UK is following Bojos handling of the coronavirus crisis and this is his way of showing he cares.
What is needed is not tinkering with the Immigration Rules, breaking international law and condemning people to rubber boats to try to get to safety, the government should accept its failed, it has an arguable racist home office, just ask anyone who has dealt with it for their views on its fairness, and hopeless policies,
Surely the only sensible way forward is to finally have Boris’s amnesty. After all he said it was a great idea, rather than persecuting the most vulnerable and putting their lives at risk.
You will recall that I previously asked Boris in an open video for an answer – guess what his answer was? Well I will give you a hint – when does Boris ever answer a difficult question when he can hide behind puppets such as Priti Patel.
