New BBC Wimbledon pundit Eugenie Bouchard stuns in bikini on beach holiday ahead of tennis’ biggest tournament

EUGENIE BOUCHARD has wowed fans with her recent Instagram story as the newly-minted Wimbledon pundit stunned in a bikini on holiday.

It’s clearly the calm before the storm for the Canadian as she soaks in the sun just nine days before Wimbledon gets underway.

The 32-year-old stunned in a light purple bikini on a beach in Hawaii before she will jet into London for arguably Tennis‘ most prestigious Grand Slam.

It was only three weeks ago news broke that Bouchard would be invited by SW19 bosses to appear in the Legends competition, an annual event for former pros, during the Championships this summer.

But she will alsol be working for the BBC as part of their commentary team following rave reviews while working for the TNT Sports platform in the US.

Bouchard is clearly a natural in front of the camera and she has plenty of pedigree when it comes to discussing Wimbledon.

BBC presenter forced to apologise as tennis star drops F-bomb seven times

Although she never won a Grand Slam, she appeared in the semi-finals of the Australian and French Open before her most famous outing in the final of Wimbledon some 12 years ago.

She put her racquet down for the final time in her home of Montreal last summer, but she has quickly found her next calling.

She told SunSport earlier this month: “It’s hectic here. I love it so far. I love going live on TV.

“I feel like it gives me that adrenaline that I used to have when I played tennis.

“I don’t know how I’m doing so far. I feel like a baby in a new world. I’m trying my best.

“I’m doing stuff for the BBC at Wimbledon. And then I’m also playing in the Legends event, which is the first time I’m doing that at any Slam since I retire.

“It’s funny. I retired last August and I got the email from Wimbledon in December.

“They invited me to the Legends event and I was like: ‘You guys, it’s been three months, I just retired, can I get one year off?’

“But, of course, it’s such an honour. So I’m excited to do that.”

The news comes after BBC bosses were forced to revamp their coverage following a telling off from the All England Club.

Andrew Castle decided to walk away from the role after 23 years in the job with Bouchard being flanked by Jamie Murray and Kyle Edmund among others in the new look booths.
